Isaiah joined Alaska Public Media as a Development Intern and works to support community engagement and fundraising efforts, while learning about philanthropy and non-profit business. Isaiah was born and raised in Alaska. He is studying psychology at Alaska Pacific University.
Prior to joining Alaska Public Media, Isaiah served as an advocate for youth in foster care and shared his story with legislators and others to support the improvement of that system.
“My time in foster care wasn’t the best, but I made the best of it. I have been part of an organization called Facing Foster Care in Alaska (FCCA) which helps mentor kids. Through the program, I have become a voice for youth in foster care, speaking to news channels and telling my story.”
