Director of Marketing and Promotions
Jessica joined the Alaska Public Media team as the director of marketing and promotions in February 2017, putting to use her experience as a marketing copywriter and editor to use cross-platform integrated marketing for social media, email, radio, web and print.
She is co-creator of “Harvesting Alaska”, a James Beard award-winning TV and web series, and is a multimedia journalist and editor. Before coming to Alaska Public Media, Jessica worked as the web editor for KTVA 11 News, the local CBS affiliate, where she created engaging, interactive content for diverse audiences across Alaska.
Jessica has been a contributing writer for the Anchorage Press, focusing on news features and restaurant reviews; a drive-time news anchor for KBGA 89.9 FM, the radio station for the University of Montana in Missoula; a general assignment reporter for the Lake County Leader, a weekly newspaper in Polson, Montana; and was a designer for the 2011 Montana Journalism Review.
In her free time, she and her partner Phil enjoy getting lost in the woods, experimenting in the kitchen, and watching MASTERPIECE, PBS Nature and PBS NewsHour with their two cats.
