Murkowski Address to Alaska Legislature
In her address to the Alaska State Legislature on Thursday morning, Senator Lisa Murkowski discussed her recently-unveiled “Energy 20/20: A Vision for America’s Energy Future” blueprint, the threat of sequestration in combination with the nation’s fiscal situation, as well as the constant battle against federal overreach experienced by Alaskans.

4 Things To Expect In Obama’s State Of The Union Address
KSKA will air President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address live from NPR on Feb. 12th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. KSKA's evening programming will be time shifted to accommodate the live feed.

- Wednesdays at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm July - The TED Hour - A journey through fascinating ideas, astonishing inventions, and new ways to think and create. Based on riveting TED Talks from the world's most remarkable minds. Hometown, Alaska returns in August.
- Saturdays at 1:00 pm - Radiolab continues. Initially a limited series set conclude in August, Radiolab is now being produced on a weekly basis and will continue to be apart of the regular Saturday line-up on KSKA.
Health Law Survives With Roberts’ Vote
Chief Justice John Roberts said the requirement that individuals have health coverage or pay a penalty falls within Congress' power to impose taxes. On the issue of Medicaid expansion, a majority of the court said Congress can expand Medicaid, but can't strip states of all their Medicaid funds if they fail to participate in that expansion. How do we, as a statewide community, engage in a difficult but respectful discussion about race in Alaska? Through an innovative project based on indigenous values and dialogue principles applied by the First Alaskans Institute, this program seeks to elevate the conversation about race and racism in Alaska and prompt ideas about possible solutions to racial inequality in the state.

Tuesday at 9:00 am - it's an NPR News special - live coverage of President Obama's news conference. The White House event occurs as Mr. Obama's Republican rivals face off in 10 Super Tuesday primary contests. It also follows the president's Monday meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Join Jennifer Ludden for in-depth coverage and analysis.
If the news conference goes past 10:00 am, KSKA will join Talk of Alaska in progress. Here and Now will return Weds. at 9:00 am.
