Identity of Airman Killed in Afghanistan Released

According to a press release sent out this morning, the  airman assigned to 11th Air Force who was killed Wednesday in Kabul, Afghanistan, has been identified as Maj. David L. Brodeur, the  11th Air Force executive officer at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

Major Brodeur was one of nine American casualties of an attack by an Afghan air force officer.  The Auburn, Mass., native was deployed as an advisor to the Afghan Command and Control Center under NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan, according to his spouse, Susan Brodeur.  He had been deployed since February.
